Tech & Learning takes a look at how schools are making the most of their devices by investing in interactive displays and projectors. A common theme found was that schools are looking at solutions that allow students to present their work and connect directly to cloud-based resources.

“We have students as early as kindergarten fulfilling Virginia computer science standards through ActivPanel coding skills, directing Dash Robots,” says Sherri Rickman, Instructional Technology Resource Teacher at Roanoke (VA) County Public Schools. “We focus on coding to learn, instead of learning to code. At various ages, we’ll have the kids measure area, perimeter, convert measurements, determine how far the Dash can travel in centimeters and inches—it’s really comprehensive.”
